  7.      - Collected pieces of the crash from the Brazels' two years
  8. after the crash
  9.  
  10. Barnett, Grady L. "Barney"
  11.      - Claimed to have found wreckage and bodies on the Plains of
  12. San Agustin, about 120 miles from where Mac Brazel found wreckage.
  13.  
  14. BARROWCLOUGH, LT Colonel Robert
  15.      - Executive Officer of Roswell Army Air Field, Roswell, New
  16. Mexico.
  17.  
  18. Blanchard, Colonel William 
  19.      - Commander, 509th Bomb Group, Roswell Army Air Field.  Upon
  20. seeing the material collected at the site by Major Jesse A. Marcel,
  21. he ordered the roads leading to the crash site blocked, and later
  22. made a special trip to the site.

  24. Brazel, W.W. "Mac"
  25.      - Foreman at the Foster ranch in Lincoln County, near Corona,
  26. New mexico.  He found the crash site on the ranch.
  27.  
  28. Brazel, Bill
  29.      - Son of Mac Brazel and a major witness.
  30.  
  31. Briley, Lt. Colonel Joe
  32.      - In mid-July, 1947 he became the Operations Officer at
  33. Roswell Army Air Base.
  34.  
  35. Brown, Dr. Jerry
  36.      - NASA engineer who had worked at White Sands Missile Range. 
  37. He speculated that the metal found was Duraluminum alloy or a V-2
  38. rocket.

  40. Brown, Sergeant Melvin E.
  41.      - Was at the second site, guarding the truck containing alien
  42. bodies.  He also guarded the hanger at Roswell Army air Field while
  43. crates from the site were held there.
  44.  
  45. Chavez, Senator Dennis
  46.      - US Senator from New Mexico.  He supposedly called Walter
  47. Whitmore, Sr. and suggested that he not air the recorded interview
  48. with Mac Brazel.
  49.  
  50. Clark, Deputy, B.A.
  51.      - Took the initial report from Mac Brazel at the Chaves County
  52. sheriff's office.
  53.  
  54. Dubose, Colonel Thomas J.
  55.      - Chief of Staff to Brigadier General Roger Ramey.  He was
  56. photographed in Ramey's office with the "debris."
  57.  
  58. Easley, Major Edwin D.
  59.      - Provost Marshal in charge of the troops clearing the crash
  60. site.

  62. Foster, Iris
  63.      - Owned a cafe in Taos, New Mexico.  She often heard a man
  64. call "Cactus Jack," an amateur archeologist, talk about seeing a
  65. downed alien ship.

  67. Gardner, Mary Ann
  68.      - Nurse at St. Petersburg Hospital, Florida.  She heard an
  69. archeologist on her deathbed tell about discovering an alien ship
  70. and bodies.

  72. Gardner, Norma
  73.      - Typist with top security clearance at Wright-Patterson Air
  74. Force Base.  She typed autopsy reports on alien beings and saw two
  75. bodies.

  77. Haut, 1st Lieutenant Walter
  78.      - Public Information Officer at Roswell Army Air Field.  He
  79. was ordered by Colonel Blanchard to issue a press release stating
  80. that a flying disc had been recovered.

  82. Henderson, Captain Oliver W. "Pappy"
  83.      - Member, First Air Transport Unit, Roswell Army Air Field,
  84. and co-pilot of the first B-29 flight from Roswell to Fort Worth. 
  85. He also was the pilot of a C-54 flight carrying wreckage from
  86. Roswell to Wright-Patterson Field, Dayton, Ohio.

  88. Henderson, Sappho
  89.      - Wife of Pappy Henderson.  She was told by her husband that
  90. he had flown the C-54 to Wright Field.

  92. Jennings, Colonel Payne
  93.      - Deputy base and group commander at Roswell Army Air Field. 
  94. He was the pilot of the first B-29 flight from Roswell to Fort
  95. Worth.

  97. Johnson, J. Bond
  98.      - Staff reporter for the "Fort Worth Star Telegram."  He took
  99. photographs of the "wreckage" in General Ramey's office.
  100.  
  101. Joyce, Frank
  102.      - Reporter and announcer for Roswell radio station KGFL.  He
  103. interviewed Mac Brazel on the telephone before the military arrived
  104. and later told a different story.

  106. Kaufman, Frank
  107.      - Friend of Warrant Officer Robert Thomas.  He said the bodies
  108. were sealed in a wooden crate, while still at the hospital.
  109.  
  110. Lapaz, Dr. Lincoln
  111.      - Expert in meteorites; degrees in mathematics and astronomy. 
  112. He was called in to investigate the crash site.

  114. Maltais, L.W. "Vern"
  115.      - Said Barney Barnett had told him he had seen bodies in one-
  116. piece grey suits, after which archaeologists and the military
  117. arrived.

  119. Marcel, Major Jesse A.
  120.      - Intelligence Officer at Roswell Army Air Field, 509th Bomb
  121. Group Intelligence Office.  He picked up material at the ranch and
  122. later flew it to Fort Worth Army Air Field.

  124. Marcel, Jesse Jr.
  125.      - Son of Jesse A. Marcel.  He saw debris samples that his
  126. father brought home and, under hypnosis, was able to recall the
  127. designs marking the I-beam.

  129. McBoyle, Johnny
  130.      - Station Manager of radio station  KSWS, Roswell, New Mexico. 
  131. He attempted to put the Roswell story out over the wire.
  132.  
  133. McGuire, Phyllis
  134.      - Daughter of Sheriff George A. Wilcox.  She saw the military
  135. arrive very soon after he father called them.
  136.  
  137. McQuiddy, Art
  138.      - Editor "Roswell Morning Dispatch".  Walter Hunt delivered a
  139. press release to him, which other military personnel later tried to
  140. retrieve.

  142. Newton, Warrant Office Irving
  143.      - Weather officer at Fort Worth Army Air Field.  He was
  144. ordered to General Ramey's office to identify the "wreckage." a
  145. Rawin target balloon.
  146.  
  147. Parker, Jim
  148.      - Ranch hand of Mac Brazel's.  His some came home from school
  149. one day in 1988 reported an Air Force truck in the area.
  150.  
  151. Payne, Bud
  152.      - Neighbor of Mac Brazel. He had gotten thrown off the Foster
  153. ranch by the military while chasing a stray cow.  He knew exactly
  154. where the crash site was.
  155.  
  156. Porter, Sergeant Robert
  157.      - Crewman on the B-29 that flow packages from Roswell Army Air
  158. Field to Fort Worth Army Air Field.  He claims that Jesse Marcel
  159. was on the flight.
  160.  
  161. Proctor, Floyd
  162.      - Mac Brazel's nearest neighbor and husband of Loretta
  163. Proctor.  Brazel came to their house to show them a piece of the
  164. metal.

  166. Proctor, Loretta
  167.      - Mac Brazel's nearest Neighbor and wife of Floyd Proctor. 
  168. She said she remembers her husband trying to whittle on the metal
  169. but failing to make a mark.
  170.  
  171. Proctor, Timothy D.
  172.      - Son of Floyd and Loretta Proctor.  He found the crash site
  173. with Mac Brazel.
  174.  
  175. Ramey, Brigadier General Roger
  176.      - Commander, eight Air Force, of which the 509th Bomb Group
  177. was a part.
  178.  
  179. Rickett, Lewis S.
  180.      - Army counter-intelligence  (CIC) agent, who assisted in the
  181. retrieval of debris from the crash site.
  182.  
  183. Roberts, Jud
  184.      - Minority owner of radio station KGFL, Roswell, New Mexico. 
  185. He said the military picked up copies of Haut's press release from
  186. the media there.
  187.  
  188. Shirkey, Robert
  189.      - Saw wreckage taken by eight or nine men through the
  190. Operations Building at Roswell Army Air Field.

  192. Sleepy, Lydia
  193.      - Secretary to Merle Tucker in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She
  194. was ordered over the telephone to stop transmitting the crash
  195. story.

  197. Smith, Sergeant Robert E.
  198.      - Member of the First Air Transport Unit at Roswell Army Air
  199. Field.  He spent an entire day loading three aircraft with the
  200. material from the crash site.
  201.  
  202. Strickland, Lymann
  203.      - Neighbor of Mac Brazel.  He saw Brazel in Roswell being
  204. escorted out of the newspaper offices by three military officers.
  205.  
  206. Strickland, Marian
  207.      - Neighbor of Mac Brazel, wife of Lymann Strickland.  An upset
  208. Brazel visited them after his release from custody at Roswell Army
  209. Air Field.

  211. Thomas, Robert
  212.      - Warrant Officer who came in on a special flight to assist in
  213. recovery of debris.
  214.  
  215. Tucker, Merle
  216.      - Owner of several New Mexico radio stations.  He arrived back
  217. from out of town to find that his Roswell station manager had tried
  218. to put the crash story out over the wire.
  219.  
  220. Tyree, Tommy
  221.      - Hand for Mac Brazel.  He began to work about one month after
  222. the crash and remembers that Brazel was irritated because the sheep
  223. would not cross the debris field and had to be driven the long way
  224. around to water.

  226. Whitmore, Walter Sr.
  227.      - Majority owner of radio station KGFL in Roswell, New Mexico. 
  228. He hid Mac Brazel from the Military.

  230. Wilcox, Sheriff George A.
  231.      - Sheriff of Chaves County, in which Roswell is located.  Mac
  232. Brazel showed him a piece of the debris and he suggested Brazel
  233. contact the military.

  235. Wilmot, Dan
  236.      - Resident of Roswell, N.M.  He and his wife saw an oval-
  237. shaped object fly over their house on July 2, 1947, the probable
  238. date of the crash.

  240. Zorn, Vernon D.
  241.      - Non-commissioned officer in charge of the Third Photo Unit
  242. at Roswell Army Air Field.  He said no photos of the crash site
  243. were taken by his men.

  246. The book this is from is very interesting.  If one is to accept the 
  247. conspiracy theory with regard to the cover up of UFOs by the Military, this 
  248. is the incident that apparently started it off.  As the first, this is the 
  249. incident that appears to have the most cracks in the cover story, and even a 
  250. Congressman is interested in investigating what went on.  Hope this proves 
  251. to be of interest.
